Maker Network

Revenue Calculator

When you sell through the Maker Network — or let other stores sell your products — every transaction is split automatically. Use this calculator to see exactly what each party receives after Stripe processing, the platform fee, sales tax, and shipping are accounted for. No guesswork, no surprises.

🛍

You sell another maker's product

You earn a commission the maker sets. The maker keeps their base price, handles fulfillment, and the platform splits the payment automatically — no invoicing, no chasing payments.

🤝

Another store sells your product

You set the commission rate. The selling store earns their cut; you receive your base price plus shipping. You fulfil the order — the platform handles the money.

Adjust the sliders to match your product price, local tax rate, shipping cost, and the commission you offer (or receive). The calculator updates in real time and shows a full step-by-step breakdown of every dollar.

How the payment split works

The Store Owner is always the merchant of record — the customer's card is charged through the Store Owner's connected Stripe account. From there, the platform automatically routes every portion to the right party.

1

Customer charges the Store Owner's Stripe account

The full checkout amount — product price, sales tax, and shipping — is collected in one charge through the Store Owner's Stripe account.

2

Stripe deducts its processing fee

Stripe charges 2.9% + $0.30 against the full amount. This fee is borne by the Store Owner and comes out before any split happens.

3

The platform takes a small fee

MyCraftStore takes 3% of net sales revenue (what remains after Stripe). This covers the platform and the Maker Network infrastructure. There are no monthly fees — the platform only earns when you do.

4

Tax and shipping are returned to the right parties

Net sales tax goes to the Store Owner, who remits it to the tax authority as merchant of record. Net shipping is transferred to the Maker, who handles fulfillment for their product.

5

Net product revenue is split by commission

The remaining product revenue is divided by the commission rate the Maker set. The Maker keeps the larger share; the Store Owner earns their commission for making the sale.
