About the Maker Network
The Maker Network is a cooperative selling layer built into MyCraftStore that lets independent artisans grow their reach without growing their overhead.
What is the Maker Network?
The Maker Network allows store owners on MyCraftStore to list their products for other stores to sell, and to add other makers' products to their own storefront. Every transaction is handled automatically — payments, commission splits, and fulfillment notifications.
How does listing your products work?
When you mark a product as available to the network and set a commission percentage, other store owners can browse it and add it to their stores. When a customer buys it from another store, the selling store earns their commission and you automatically receive your base price. You fulfill the order — you get an email with all the details.
How does adding other makers' products work?
Browse the Maker Network and add any product with one click from your dashboard. The product will appear in your store as long as the maker has inventory. You earn the commission the maker has set. There is no inventory to hold, no shipping to arrange — the original maker handles fulfillment.
How are payments handled?
When a customer checks out from your store, the platform automatically splits the payment. Your commission plus the full sales tax (if applicable) is deposited to your connected Stripe account. The maker's base price plus shipping for their items is transferred to their account. The whole process is transparent and automatic. There are no invoices to send, and no waiting for payments.
Is participation required?
The Maker Network is completely opt-in. You choose which of your products to share and at what commission rate. You can also choose not to add any other makers' products to your store. There is no fee to participate beyond the standard platform transaction fee.
What happens when an item is cancelled or refunded?
If a customer cancels or returns an item from another maker, both the selling store and the maker are notified by email. The commission is reversed and the maker's dashboard will show the item as cancelled so they know not to ship it.
